Youth conference

There is no ‘Honour’ in Violence against Women and Girls” project is designed to engage youth in a dialogue about crimes of “honour”, and violence against women. Through this interactive workshop, youth will have an opportunity to explore meanings of gender and how media and society discuss acts of violence against women. The South Asian Women’s Centre, in partnership with Catholic Cross-Cultural Services and Mitfits for Change is organizing a South Asian Youth Conference (14+) on Gender Roles and Violence in the South Asian Community.
The sessions will be interactive and allow for a safe and engaging discussion, through fun and creative activities. (see flyer for more details)
This is also your chance to tell us what we can do better in providing services for youth and women.
Snacks and Lunch will be provided & Tokens given
Volunteer hours will also be given for youth in high school.
