The book tries to explore the settler responsibility in this Indigenous Land, West’s hypocrisy in Omar Khadr’s case, Caste and class Privilege in escaping war, to name a few.

Thanya exposes her desire for equality and interdependence in all aspects of relationships, be it friendship or love. By writing about relationships, she explores the structure of the society that is not made for women who seek adventure, freedom, or self-respect.

This book of Katpakam yasothara has songs, written of a tragic time. These are not only belong to those who speak the language in which the poems are written, rather they belong to all the people in the world who are oppressed. These songs, written for the dead, belong to the voiceless minorities, women and the othered.

An anthology of Sri Lankan Women’s Poetry – Compiled and edited by women who grew up in Canada from the mid 1990s. This anthology of poems is written by 17 Tamil women of Sri Lankan origin, some of whom reside in Sri Lanka and the others in the diaspora. Through their poems, the women discover their own views on freedom, oppression, and war.

Attem is a Tamil literary magazine first published by Four women editors in 2005. It focused on sharing lived experiences, seeking out fellow immigrant women writers of that time.
