As working women of colour, our time and space are very limited for intellectual and creative pursuits. \u00a0Many of us do not share the same privilege as some others in having a space at home that allows us to sit and do our works without any guilt towards leaving domestic work or caregiving\/childcare behind. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Four women published a magazine called \u2018attem\u2019 back in 2005 with the goal to claim our space and share our lived experiences, seeking out fellow immigrant women writers of that time. It was discontinued ironically due to the very same obstacles. As women, the efforts to create\/claim our space however is a problem of existence. So here we are, once again! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will update our website weekly, and will post our ezine\/journal in a magazine format by the end of each season! So tune in and feel free to send your works\/feedback in Tamil\/English to: attemm@gmail.com<\/kbd> ! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our posts will contain contemporary issues, literary works as well as introduction and translation of new thoughts in regards to feminism, nationalism, indigenous rights, and activism. For the time being, the zine content will remain partially <\/strong>bilingual.<\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n\n\n\n
